it's not about respect, it's about knowing they've been around for a while. if dgj or bia said something about something from a really goddamn long time ago or creating, their names should be given that little bit of creditability. otherwise, we can have 9999 telling us about the time he was admin at the original electbyte forum and from a new user's perspective, it would have the same creditability as someone who actually knows what they're talking about; which is stupid and solved with usergroups.
if anything i think more usergroups should be made, like ms behaven's and 99999's (while still giving out the creator and legend ones).
edit: it also gives extra incentive for old users to join, and we get interviews and well i'd say we get their experienced insight on other matters, but that isnt happening as both our 'legends' are completely and utterly inactive. i suppose the credibility and experience does amount to a little bit of respect, but not so much so that if bia/dgj/cybaster say something about a situation im going to unquestionably agree with them, and i doubt anyone will have that modus operandi either because of user titles.
